As you know, we are have been living in the Philippines for more than a year, 

so this Photo Du Jour was meant to happen sometime!

 So, we dare you...

We know, it's been a while. 

A lot has happened since we last updated the blog. We built a nest in Manila, Henri tested the waters for a business we talked about throughout the trip, I took a job, and we did a lot of DIY home improvement (which is still a work in progress). 

And then an idea to travel again took hold, and we packed our bags, went to Europe, and did as much as we could while seeing family and a few friends. (Merci beaucoup, Vero et Philippe!)

In France, some of you asked us to finish the blog -- well, we're going to get to it soon, just let me find the pictures first :)

Well, the sad new is that our trip to Tibet is a bust.

The borders were closed again as soon as they were opened, and our application was not even entertained.

We felt we'd waited long enough in Nepal for Tibet to open up, and we couldn't stay still any longer - 

Tibet and China will have to wait until we feel like going to Nepal again.

The good news is, while trekking in Langtang, we felt like we saw a more authentic Tibet.

The Tibet we'd prefer to see in, hopefully, the near future.

In the meantime, we booked a plane somewhere we've both been to, but not together.

That said, perhaps some of you could guess where we will be this Monday

on this edition of RANDOM PHOTO DU JOUR!
