3 Nights of Luxury

As mentioned before, we spent three nights at the Sofitel in Krabi. Just a tiny break from the tiring world of backpacking. It was difficult to find a cheap way to get there, even the tuk-tuk was expensive! But here we were, arriving the only way possible, travelling ten kilometers on a 400 baht tuk-tuk.

We were surrounded by forest in the back...

While in the front we were face-to-face with the stunning Andaman Sea.

We had free cocktails every night because we were given VIP status, and you bet we never missed one day of cocktail hour!

We also had gym privileges, and Henri didn't miss a day of sauna!

That night we had curry at the in-house Asian resto; and the portions were so big, we had troubles getting up.

Buffet breakfasts made the morning start right, and we gorged on pancakes, salmon, bacon, soups, breads... everything!

We had an option to move to the luxury suite, but we chose to stay here because of the view.

It was super close to the pool too.

The manager invited us to wine tasting.

There, we met a vacationing French couple. I tried to wow them with my French... of course, it helped that I'd had a little alcohol to loosen my tongue :)
